The Home
Our home is an old hand-built historic Western log cabin that has been completely renovated during the 28 years we've lived in it. Located in Wilson, Wyoming in the heart of "Jackson's Hole" it is just 6 miles from the town of Jackson (where there are many shopping opportunities, restaurants and world-class art galleries) and 6 miles from the Jackson Hole ski area - a true "skiers' mountain" with some of the most varied terrain and biggest vertical drop in North America. Grand Targhee ski resort (on the west side of the mountains) is an hour drive and Snow King ski area in Jackson is only 8 miles away.. In "downtown" Wilson (population 200), a one block walk from our house, are most of the amenities you might need: an old fashioned general store (with basic groceries and an excellent selection of video rentals), a bank, a Post Office, a gas station, a hardware store, a bar/liquor store, a coffee shop, an outdoor shop, a health-care provider, a hair salon and three restaurants. It is also located just one mile from the famous Snake River - where there is easy public access for fishing and swimming. The cabin is about 1,400 S/F (150 S/M) and has two bedrooms (one with a king mattress and one which is used as an office) and a sunroom with a queen mattress - but only one bathroom so it is most suitable for a couple (or perhaps a couple plus one child). It is very well appointed with exceptional high-quality linens, tableware and antique furnishings (we used to be in the antique business). The kitchen has a commercial gas range and every necessary cooking utensil/appliance (except a microwave). There is a large (very private) back deck with a gas barbeque and fenced yard. High-speed internet, digital cable TV (over 200 channels) and telephone with free (domestic) long distance are included.

The Neighborhood
In addition to the close proximity of the Town of Jackson and the Jackson Hole ski area our cabin is just 20 minutes from the entrance to Grand Teton National Park and less than one hour from the entrance to Yellowstone National Park - both of which offer myriad opportunities for recreation and wildlife sightings. You needn't travel at all to see moose - they are frequent visitors to our yard. In addition to the Snake River (and Fish Creek, which flows right through Wilson) there are many other tributaries of the Snake within an hour's drive - all of which offer ample opportunity to catch native Cutthroat trout. Teton Pines golf course is less than five minutes from our house - and Jackson Hole Golf and Tennis (in Teton Park) is a twenty minute drive. We have two mountain bikes that would be at your disposal - there is a bike pathway from Wilson to Teton Village. There are two groomed cross-county ski trails each less than two miles away. Our caretaker lives just down the street and will see to snow removal and any other necessary maintenance.

The People
Anne and I are in our late 50's and have been attached for 33 years . We have a small dog (Otis - a Coton) and no children. Until recently we owned a popular local restaurant (for 30 years) - but we closed it two years agoand bought an Airstream. Anne has an astrology and Feng Shui practice - Tony is a landlord and is pursuing a future as an artist (cisogallery.com) and is very active in public service. We cross-country ski in the winter and fly fish and bike in the summer. We love the summers here and are primarily interested in leaving during the winter for warmer climes with warm water and beaches - but we also love to visit more cosmopolitan cities (Paris, San Francisco, other) . Our home would be available primarily from October through May.
