Swapping homes can be a great way to stretch your vacation dollars and create new friendships.  I have been exchanging homes for 4 years now and have made several new friends.   One especially good homeexchange friend are the owners of this listing.  ( Rosie and Ronaldo.)   Ronaldo loves tennis as I do and we both had a terrific time playing tennis on his private court.  After a game of tennis Ronaldo treated us to a fabulous Brazilian Barbeque.  The day was absolutely perfect.   Rosie and Ronaldo are quality people that you will instantly be drawn to.  They visited my home in Florida later in the year and I had the opportunity to play host and show them some of the attractions of my local area.  Whenever I return to Sao Paulo I get together for lunch or dinner with Rosie and Ronaldo.  It feels as if we were together less than a week ago.  They are so friendly and fun to be near.

I am normally looking for a home that is clean and in an area that I planned to travel to.  For my trip to Australia I want to visit Victoria and Tasmania.  So I am looking for homes close to Melbourne which has an international airport.  Hobart is the city in Tasmania with an airport.  If you are doing a home swap, transportation from the airport is a consideration for many people.  My home is over an hour drive from the closest airports.  I offer to pickup if I am not doing a simultaneous exchange.  This may be something to consider with your home. 

I like to provide my guests with some groceries before they arrive so I usually ask what they like for breakfast and for snacks.  Most travelers prefer to dine out for lunch and dinner but the breakfast is usually taken in the home.
