After you have heard about the Peaks Trail, chances are you will want to give this beautiful, but challenging tour a try. This is one of those Colorado tours which you will hear about a great deal, and sooner or later, you will probably want to try it. The tour covers a lot of beautiful terrain but offers a challenge because of its length. There are lots of ups and downs and some narrow, curving downhill sections, especially in the second half of the tour. To avoid the need to shuttle cars, use the free shuttle from Frisco back to the Peak 8 parking area, walking the final 1.3 miles back to your car. (Shuttle information is widely available in Frisco and Breckenridge.) The tour leads mostly through the trees, with occasional views of the Tenmile Range on the left and of the Front Range on the right, as it descents 1,740 feet to the Frisco Trailhead
